Applications Engineer

DUTIES:
1) Telephone contact and e-mail responds to customer inquiries about specific product performance and specification requirements.
2) Primary resource to departmental technical staff on above mentioned issues for product groups assigned.
3) Responds in person to customers requiring on-site service engineering evaluation and presentations.
4) Internal resource for engineering staff for product improvement feedback and product market trends.
5) Performs periodic inspection of in service products at specified intervals and at customer request to verify safety, performance and status.
6) Reviews and edits product manuals, specification sheets and internal technical procedures.
7) Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
1) Strong computer skills including Windows, MS Office (especially Word and Excel) and CRM.
2) Strong mechanical and/or electrical background and aptitude.
3) Communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Education/Certification:
1) BSEE/BSME and 1-3 years' experience in the renewable energy field.
2) NABCEP Certification is a plus.
3) Expertise in National Electric Code.
4) Proficiency with one or more CAD packages.
5) 1-3 years of directly related technical experience.

Other:
1) Quality focus, team attitude, problem solving skills, and ability to communicate with people of varying levels of technical aptitude.
2) Ability to perform a cross-functional role providing support to sales, engineering, manufacturing and product service.
3) Ability to gain intimate knowledge of standard products and their capabilities immediately.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
