Responsible for key aspects of event planning and execution including: Staffing of Event Teams, managing vendor relationship, operations, and consumer experience. Works closely with Events Manager, GM of Retail Stores, Retail District Managers and Marketing to accomplish goals. Provides Events Manager and senior leadership with information and insight to assist in Event Budgets, process improvements and cost saving measures. When in between event planning and execution, supports the New Store Opening Team. /This job requires frequent (domestic) travel up to 70% of the time./

Primary Responsibilities :
Staffing of Events Team
Partners with Retail DM's, ensuring event scheduling needs are met. Creates schedules and event assignment at the beginning of the year to minimize impact on retail stores and makes certain schedules are coordinated with new store openings. Ensures compliance with ACA and state specific requirements as they pertain to hours worked, over-time, etc. Communicates to all stakeholders to include travel coordinator. Stakeholders - district managers, GM of Stores and Human Resources.
Works with General Manager and District Managers to assemble Events Team in a manner that ensures the necessary skill set and experience match the requirements of the event based on the event tier designation.
Identifies training needs and provides training to Events Team to ensure readiness.
Oversees travel arrangements of the Events Team, to transportation to and from the events, as well as daily travel. Ensures departures and arrivals are timely and efficient; costs (air, hotels, cars, etc.) are kept within or below budget, and transportation/lodging issues are mitigated.
Operations
Collaborates with the marketing team on event execution to include merchandise assortment and visual prep
Facilitates planning calls with Events Team
Travels to event locations; present during set-up, execution, tear down to include:
Inventory Responsibilities
Receiving and set up of inventory, managing offsite warehouse inventory and initial stock
Organization of invoices
Procurement and delivery of supplies
Ensures inventory integrity - cycle counts, transfers, PO's
Cash and POS Responsibilities
Ensures Cash handling procedures and protocol are in place, placing an emphasis on safety and fraud prevention. Acts a liaison with the armor car vendor resolving any issues that may arise
Strong working knowledge and understanding of POS to include:
Set up of POS
Ability to answer questions, resolve issues with transactions
Ability to troubleshoot common POS issues, technical problems
Working relationship with IT for getting POS issues resolved
Ability to run reporting
Wage & Hours Responsibilities

Creates and enforces break schedules ensuring staff breaks are executed in a manner that provides excellent customer service and are compliant with company policy and state requirements
Manages time card and e-time process. Ensures associates time is accurate and that the associate is correctly paid. When necessary, ensures the hours are appropriately transferred to the correct department.
Oversees Events Team during the entire events process to include performance management. Communicates issues to home manager when necessary. Addresses any associate needs that arise. Provides feedback to home store manager and Events GM.
Participates and sometimes leads event planning calls
Stays post-event to ensure booth breakdown is completed and inventory is packed and processed
Provides a re-cap of the event to GM of Events and Senior-level management.
Conducts postmortem review to critique events - identifying successes and making recommendations for improvement.
Consumer Experience
Formulates a New Balance consumer experience that is consistent with other NB channels - emphasizes world class customer service that leads to a positive GUEST experience. Embodies New Balance's core values of: total customer satisfaction, team work, and integrity.
Assist with virtual cue or event line control
Onsite liaison with event vendor contact
Requires BA degree or equivalent and a minimum of 1 - 5 years of event or retail management experience.
Knowledge of event strategies and tactical execution.
Comfort interacting with all levels of the organization
Requires excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills and the ability to work in a team oriented environment.
Experienced in delivering world class customer service related to product, service, and POS experience.
Demonstrates ability to collaborate and influence cross functionally.
Excellent project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time.
Thorough knowledge of the New Balance brand.
Full understanding of general spreadsheet creation and usage. MS Word and PowerPoint skills a plus.
