Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled QA Director to oversee all quality assurance activities at our food processing plant specializing in the production of pizza, calzones, pasta, meals, sauces, and bread.
As the QA Director, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with USDA regulations, maintaining SQF certification standards, and guaranteeing the highest level of food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Your role will involve developing and implementing robust quality control systems, leading a team of QA professionals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience (minimum 7 years) in a quality assurance role within the food processing industry, with a focus on USDA-regulated products.
Strong knowledge of USDA regulations and requirements for food processing plants.
Experience in maintaining and enhancing SQF certification.
In-depth understanding of food safety principles, HACCP, and GMPs.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while ensuring compliance and maintaining high-quality standards.
