Summary:
The Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Science and Specials Coach will work with the Chief Academic Officer and Directors of Academics to provide programmatic leadership for CDCPS science education and specials (Spanish) to a network of campuses that are committed to the ongoing development and well-being of its students, teachers, and staff.
The DCI will work to build a positive collaborative environment that supports each childs academic progress.
This will include support for curriculum planning, the use of data to inform instruction, and professional development planning paired with real-time coaching.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively with the Chief Academic Officer and Directors of Academics to create, lead, and support the development and implementation of standards-based curriculum across all network schools, including academic day and vacation enrichment.
Evaluates academic programming, curricula, and assessment for effectiveness.
Vision-setting with the Network leadership team to develop strategic planning for academic initiatives to promote teacher learning and student achievement.
Oversees the vertical and horizontal alignment of network science academic curriculum, including unit preview meetings, leader support for planning meetings, and facilitation of end-of-year curriculum reflection meetings.
Develops and maintains updates of science curricula materials and resources as needed.
Works collaboratively with CAO, Director of Academics, Director of Early Learning, Heads of School, and Directors of Curriculum and Instruction to interpret testing assessment data to improve student achievement.
-Analyzes and incorporates assessment data to create targeted action plans for grades and sections within schools-Facilitates assessment meetings with school leaders that incorporate information into effective action planning for selected grades and sections within the school Supports instructional and curriculum integration of technology.
Supports Chief Academic Officer in the development of shared training and professional development opportunities for teachers, school leaders, and program directors around common program elements and strategic initiatives.
Creates and Supports a culture of inclusion and belonging for all students and staff.
Supports the professional development and growth of schools and classrooms by providing coaching for science and specials classes as needed and lesson modeling for teachers:
Regularly scheduled observations and debriefs with school leaders and staff as appropriate Trend observations for the network to determine key foci for professional development and/or tiered support of leaders and school site staff- Classroom teaching as a method of real-time coaching and support of targeted action plans.
-Baseline coaching for specials subjects for lesson execution, implementation of systems and procedures, and real-time feedback
Qualifications:
Deep understanding of standards-based curriculum and assessment for science and proven track record of achievement related to student and teacher success; A passionate belief in CDCPS mission, values, and educational model; Teacher coaching and leadership experience (minimum of 3 years); Excellent written and oral communication skills; Demonstrated skills in collaborative planning and problem-solving; and Masters Degree Preferred; Bachelors Required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
